Company Background

Tropicom Utama Furniture is a foreign / Indonesian joint venture company, established in 1983 to manufacture rattan furniture. Since being established we have robustly expanded into all weather outdoor furniture and indoor case good product lines.

Furnishings manufactured by Tropicom are to be found under leading brand names in the more quality conscious segments of the United States and European furniture markets.

With factory and offices buildings of 8,205sqm (88,272sq-ft) on our 3.6 hector site, located 64km outside of Jakarta, Tropicom employs a workforce of some 350 people.

Ethical manufacturing principles and responsible utilization of natural resources are major considerations for both Tropicom and many of our core customers.

Although most products are quite labor intensive by nature, Tropicom takes a very non-traditional approach to the manufacturing. We employ only the most modern techniques and systems and our highly trained workforce carries out all production activities here on site.
